A virus is described as an infectious agent that replicates only within the cells of living hosts; these hosts are mainly bacteria, plants, and animals. It can be as simple as the common cold, but this my friends, is far more dangerous. Ebola hemorrhagic fever or (Ebola HF)
is part of the Filoviridae family caused by the zaire ebolavirus. This
tyrants main mode of transportation is not for certain, but it always seems to
cause an outbreak. Researchers think that maybe the first person infected
is contaminated by an infected animal though. From there it is spread by bodily
fluids and also by needles. Since this is native to Africa the outbreak spreads
rapidly. Their hospitals and care facilities are not the best so they do not
always take the proper precautions when caring for a contaminated person, which
leads to greater increase of people getting the Ebola virus. It is then spread
throughout the body by RNA replication. This means that it is highjacking your
cells and making them produce their things! This virus is a nasty little thing
and does disgusting things to the body. It's quick; it only takes two to twenty
one days to start making your cells work for it! It can make you have red eyes,
rash, fever, aches and pains, sore throat, and weakness. That's not all either!
After that it causes diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain and can even cause you to
bleed inside and out! AWFULL!!! Making matters worse there is not current
treatment or vaccination. This is partially due to the fact that it is often
spread in the African health care facilities and because it is unknown exactly
where this virus is coming from. The search is on for this terrible
menace and it won't stop 'til we find this culprit! To find out more information visit http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC104478/.
